Overview
Hara is designed as a private, on-device guided breathing app. The current version does not require an account and does not include a backend, advertising SDK or analytics SDK.
Camera And Pulse Signal
Hara requests camera access so it can analyze color changes from a fingertip placed over the active rear camera and flash. Camera frames are processed on the device to produce signal-quality guidance, a waveform and pulse-related session values. The app does not upload camera frames or pulse-signal data to Hara servers.
Data Stored On The Device
Hara may store the following information locally:
- session dates and duration;
- user-selected before-and-after wellness check-ins;
- recorded pulse estimate, signal variation, breathing rhythm and sample count;
- local camera signal diagnostics used to troubleshoot a session;
- onboarding, disclaimer and app settings.
Data Sent To Us
The current app does not send session records, camera frames, pulse values, wellness check-ins, location, contacts or identifiers to Hara servers. If you email support, your email provider sends the information you choose to include directly in that message.
Tracking And Advertising
Hara does not track users across apps or websites and does not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.
User Control And Retention
Local data remains on the device until removed by the app, by the user, or when the app is deleted. Device backups are controlled by the user's iOS and Apple account settings.
Children And Medical Data
Hara is not designed to collect medical records and is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or monitor a medical condition.
