Privacy Policy
SunStem is designed as an offline-first native iPhone and iPad app for off-grid power planning, monitoring evidence and local alerts.
Data stored on your device
- Saved system profile, loads, manual readings and local telemetry history.
- Local validation packets for TestFlight, field evidence, forecast inputs and alert behavior.
- Local event names and timestamps used to understand whether key app flows were reached.
- Victron AES keys and optional VRM tokens stored in the iOS Keychain.
Data sent outside your device
- If you run Open-Meteo forecast import, SunStem sends region-derived latitude and longitude to Open-Meteo to request hourly cloud-cover forecast data.
- If you choose to share an export through the iOS share sheet, the destination receives the content you selected.
Data SunStem does not collect in the current build
- No account is required before first value.
- No advertising tracking and no sale of personal data.
- No contact list, photo library, microphone, camera, HealthKit or precise device GPS access.
- No exported Victron AES keys or VRM tokens in validation evidence packets.
App boundary
SunStem provides planning estimates and read-only evidence exports. It does not certify electrical installations and does not control chargers, inverters or BMS hardware.
